I would argue D. There is no F# chord (V in Bm) which means the progression is better explained as vi-IV-I-V in the key of D. It just begins on B minor.

I thought it’s about Christ, but if “bleeding” refers to the death on the cross, why could be the word “sometimes” added there as well?

Matthew 22:37, John 8:42. You may also see John 14:15-31.
But I believe this song is not just based on Bible verses. God wants us to love Him first.. Some translations of Revelation 2:4 also call Him “first love.”
